    Efficiencies are illegal living quarters attached (or detached) to the main living quarter. If a property is zoned as a single-family residence, it means that only 1 family should be living on the property.

    It’s not unusual to see a single-family residence with “in-law” quarters and multiple families or individuals living on the property in certain parts of South Florida.
